BBZGuitars
welcomes Hamer to the list of high quality guitar brands on offer at its guitar
showroom in High Wycombe and online store. Hamer is a premier boutique brand
from the USA and is now owned by Fender. It operates a ‘Custom Shop’ in Chicago,
and produces its XT models in Indonesia, along with the likes of Yamaha and
Fender.

Starting in 1974 a group of passionate musicians submerged themselves in a Chicago basement to build modern guitars with a vibrant vintage soul. This is the Hamer story and legacy.
Hamer says that it’s about artisans dedicated to creating the finest instruments, from the best materials. Hamer is proud that it outbids everyone for the top tone woods, leaving the rest to the less discriminating builders. It then lavishes more time and attention on every detail than is possible in a mass production environment.
Each USA Hamer guitar is truly hand-built. Naturally this process is not inexpensive, but this is not the goal. Hamer’s desire is to build soul into the finely crafted electrics. Evidence of this passion can be seen in every aspect of the instruments and the result is a guitar that plays like a dream right ‘out of the box’.
Hamer has taken its strong legacy and produced a range of high quality instruments in Indonesia, called the XT Series. Great build quality, superior tones, fantastic playability and value for money makes the XT range a really viable option for any guitarist, regardless of their chosen musical genre.
