BBZGuitars of High Wycombe is delighted to welcome the DBZ range of guitars to its Buckinghamshire based guitar showroom. DBZ Guitars are designed in the US by Dean B. Zelinsky, founder of the original Dean Guitars brand, and built to a very high standard in the Far East.

Here in High Wycombe, we took an early look at the DBZ range and were immediately struck by the high quality and playability of the Premier Series guitars. These professional grade guitars start at an accessible price and we now have some of the first stock of these guitars at our High Wycombe showroom in Bucks in the UK. The range of styles includes the single cutaway, set-neck Bolero, the bolt-on or set-neck Barchetta - a super Strat-style guitar featuring either a strung-through bridge, with two humbucker (tapped), or a Floyd Rose. We also have the Active EMG loaded versions, as well as the fantastic set-neck twin humbucker Mondial model, with a very attractive carved, plain cut maple cap.

All DBZ Guitars have rich and dark ebony fret boards which promote great tone and (except for the EMG models), come with coil tapped DBZ-designed high output humbuckers. Unusually for high output pickups, the DBZ-designed humbuckers are vintage sounding as well and, if the volume pot is backed off a bit, they also retain treble well through the full range of volume and don’t get muddy at lower settings.

The DBZ logo eagle is inset into the headstock in metal, this promotes tone and sustain by adding mass to the headstock and is increasingly being used by boutique brands to lessen the need for tremendously heavy bodied guitars. That said, it easy to get the balance of the guitar wrong, something DBZ has avoided, so they sit well on a strap or on a knee.
