The other day we were pleased to welcome Gavin Coulson (National Demonstrator and Artist Liaison Manager), from JHS to our High Wycombe Showroom for an afternoon ‘in-store’, followed by some YouTube demo recordings for BBZGuitars of some of the Vintage guitar range with the brilliant Kustom Coupe ’36, 2 x 10 combo.
We had a good turn out to come and see Gavin at the ‘in-store’, and as well as, going through his expansive pedal board, demonstrating each of the effects with the help of a Loop Station, Gavin took questions regarding such diverse things as ‘achieving pinch harmonics’, ‘tapping in an EVH style’ and ‘playing faster/ using scales’. There was space for a little one-on-one time with Gavin for a couple of customers; I know a good and informative time was had by all.
The evening saw Gavin recording demonstrations of the great Vintage range of guitars including the Les Paul-like Vintage V100TSB, the SG-like Vintage VS6CG, the Telecaster-like Vintage TC200BD, the ES335-like Vintage VSA535, the Stratocaster-like Vintage V6FR and the unique Vintage Advance Series AV2S3SB. All the demos include a run-down of the specs of the various instruments and demos of different styles of play the guitars achieve, with ease.
Throughout the session Gavin used the impressive Kustom all valve Coupe ’36 2 x 10 combo, for which he also recorded a demonstration.
All the demos are available for viewing on the bbzguitars.co.uk site from the homepage by clicking on Product Demos. Check them out, we plan to record more of the range of guitars and amps we have at BBZ soon.
