Here at BBZGuitars we’ve just augmented our Vintage, Antoria and Breedlove dealerships with Tanglewood guitars. On the back of my last blog about electro acoustic guitars I thought I’d post a few words on Tanglewood, not least because they’ve got such a good selection of left-handed guitars.
But anyway...Our recent guitar survey told us that Tanglewood was a popular brand, so we investigated further and found that Tanglewood guitars have been the top selling acoustic guitars in the UK for the two years on the trot (source: MIPro). And when you get hold of these great instruments it’s easy to see why.
Tanglewoods are available in several series to suit a variety of budgets, but even at the low- end, price-wise, the guitars remain easy to play and incredibly full sounding, both acoustically and through an amp.
Many of the electro acoustics include a chromatic tuner in the pre-amp and remain true to their acoustic sound when plugged into an amp. Tanglewood ranges also include some of the best electro acoustic basses I’ve ever played. Perhaps one of the most notable features of the catalogue is that across all ranges Tanglewood really caters for you if you’re a left-handed guitarist – how many manufacturers do that?
If you’re a rightie, there’s no need to feel left-out (no pun intended), Tanglewood looks after you too! Whether you want a classical, parlour, folk, super folk, dreadnought or jumbo sized guitar, the Tanglewood range has it all. It also makes some great electric, ½ size electrics, semi acoustics, electric basses, resonators, banjos, mandolins and ukuleles.
