BBZGuitars launches online demo videos with Vintage Guitars
JHS’s Gav Coulson samples V100TSB, VS6CG, AV2S3SB, TC200, V6 Reissued and VSA535 guitars
22 September 2008 - BBZGuitars of High Wycombe, the Buckinghamshire based guitar specialist, today announced the availability of six online guitar demonstration videos it has produced, in collaboration with John Hornby Skewes, for the Vintage guitar series.
Performed by JHS’s artist liaison manager, Gav Coulson, the videos are designed to give their viewers an appreciation of the build quality, functionality, playability and sound that can be achieved with Vintage guitars. Products demonstrated from the Vintage range include the Vintage V100 Series, V100TSB, Vintage VS6 Series, VS6CG, Vintage AV2S3SB, Vintage TC200 Series, Vintage® V6 Reissued Series and Vintage VSA535 Series.
The videos, which are available for viewing via the BBZGuitars website, are also featured on the popular social networking site YouTube, where they have all received a five-star rating and have so far been seen by more than 1000 visitors.
“If you’re not familiar with a brand or a little self-conscious about trying out guitars in a shop, a video demo can be a great introduction,” said Steve Busby, managing director of BBZGuitars. “Gav Coulson has done a superb job of showcasing the Vintage range. As with all guitar makes, some of the Vintage models are better suited to certain genres of music than others but the versatility of these instruments really comes across in these podcasts.”
According to a study commissioned by BBZGuitars into the behaviour of guitarists in the UK, musicians are increasingly shifting their media consumption by downloading podcasts to watch or listen to later. The survey found that 49 percent of UK guitarists believe they would find it helpful to their decision-making if they were able to view video demonstrations of the guitars they may were considering for purchase.
In each video cast, Gav Coulson provides a musical walk-through of the functions and characteristics of the Vintage guitar being demonstrated, playing a selection of original riffs in the style of guitar heroes, such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Hank Marvin, Carlos Santana, Slash, Eddie Van Halen, BB King, Angus Young, Keith Richards and others.
In addition to the complete range of Vintage guitars, all of the equipment used in the demos is stocked by BBZGuitars, where it has been carefully checked and set up by the company’s founder, Steve Busby. Over the course of the coming months, the company plans to add to the podcasts available, with guitar and amplifier demos, including Gordon Smith, Italia, First Act, St. Blues, Hamer, Tanglewood, Antoria, Breedlove, Washburn, Indie, Kustom, VOX, Sound City, Traynor and other new products as they come on-board.
Customers wishing to check the availability and pricing of the instruments can view the full range of instruments in-stock at www.bbzguitars.co.uk or by visiting the BBZGuitars High Wycombe showroom in Bucks.
